    What is a Wart?

Warts are non-cancerous skin growths on the skin that normally don't cause any particular pain. However, some warts may itch. There are approximately five kinds of warts:

    • Common warts usually appear on the hands
    • Flat warts usually appear on the face and forehead
    • Genital warts appear on the genitals
    • Plantar warts are found on the bottoms of the feet
    • Subungual warts are found under the fingernails
    What is Laser Wart Removal?

Laser wart removal uses a high intensity laser beam that burns and gets rid of the wart's tissue. A local anesthetic, or numbing aid may be administered to help alleviate any discomfort associated with the procedure.

    Is Wart Removal for Me?

Some warts, regardless of where they are located are very stubborn. You may have tried over-the-counter medication and home remedies with no success. Even prescription medications haven't killed your warts yet. If you've had no success removing your warts thus far, laser wart removal may be an option to consider.

    How does Wart Removal work?

A laser is an exceptionally strong, controlled beam of light. When it comes into contact, the heat from the light beam can target and kill specific cells. When used to kill warts, physicians may use a laser in which the light beam targets the red hemoglobin, a component of blood. Warts are nourished by an extensive network of blood vessels. With that said, when the laser beam is aimed into the wart, it will destroy the blood vessels, thus the wart dies.

Laser wart removal will eliminate some of the wart tissues, even though the main objective is to seal off the blood vessels.

What to expect during the procedure

You can expect minimal discomfort, however, if wished you may request local anesthetic to help alleviate the pain. The laser beam will be in contact with your skin for a brief moment which will cause minor irritation.

What to expect after the procedure

After the procedure, patients may experience mild pains in the treated area. Most patients will recover from laser wart removal within 7 to 10 days. The recovery duration depends on the number and location of warts treated. Some patients may be able to resume normal activities the day of or the day after the procedure.

How long is the treatment length?

The treatment length is approximately 30 to 45 minutes in its entirety. With that said, the majority of that time spent is waiting for the centrifuge to finish separating the plasma from your blood.

What can I expect after the procedure?

After the Vampire Facelift procedure, you can expect the swelling and bruising gone within 2 to 3 days. Approximately, 75% of the initial swelling from the procedure will be resolved within the first 3 hours of the procedure.
