    What is Botox®?

Botox® is a non-surgical, injectable treatment that relaxes the muscles in the upper portion of the face in order to smooth out persistent wrinkles and etched lines. When you smile, laugh, frown, or make any other expression, your muscles contract, which over time produces wrinkles leaving an aged look. Botox® has been effectively used to temporarily reduce wrinkles around the eyes, in between the eyebrows, and horizontal lines across the forehead, leaving a much younger looking face.

Where can I receive Botox® Injections?

Botox® is usually injected into the forehead, around the eyes and in between the eyebrows (Glabella). Botox® can reduce wrinkles such as crow's feet, laugh lines, frown lines, forehead creases and much more.

Is there any downtime resulting from a Botox® treatment?

Due to the minimally invasive quality of a Botox® treatment, most patients can return to their daily routine following the procedure.

    How long does Botox® last?

Botox® injections can last approximately three to six months, and maybe longer depending on the patient. Consult your provider for a realistic expectation to how long your result may last.

Can I combine Botox® with other Injectable Treatments?

Yes, you can! Botox® can be combined with dermal fillers, such as JUVÉDERM®, for nasolabial folds (laugh lines), marionette lines, cheeks, tear troughs (hollows underneath the eyes), or lips. Combining Botox® with dermal fillers results in a refreshed and younger looking face.

Is there any discomfort associated with these Treatments?

Botox® is a virtually pain-free treatment that most patients can barely feel. You may feel a slight pinch at the injection site. Some patients opt for a topical numbing anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Ice can also be applied to the injection sites pre and post treatment.
