Replenish your youthful radiant complexion
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a biocompatible, non-toxic, non-allergenic filler that reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and skin folds around the mouth and nose. For the first three months after the Radiesse treatment, it will plump up the skin and diminish the age lines by stimulating natural collagen growth. Radiesse is widely popular because of its effectiveness and long-lasting results of at least two years.
How does Radiesse work?
The Radiesse treatment works in two distinct ways. For the first three months, Radiesse injections act as a cosmetic filler that replenishes the skin’s youthful complexion. Secondly, the Radiesse injection will stimulate collagen production and encourage new tissue growth in and around the injection area. The injected content will act as a substitute collagen until the patient naturally produces their own collagen to replace the injected assistance.
Radiesse is one of the safest products on the market for treating volume loss. It is the only dermal filler on the market in the U.S that has two FDA-approved facial uses. Radiesse is a useful treatment for anyone with deep wrinkles around the mouth or cheeks. It can also be used for people with scarring or skin depressions, as well as for those who want to enhance the size and shape of their lips. Additionally, Radiesse usually provides up to 80 percent improvement immediately after the treatment. Since Radiesse is temporary, treatments must be repeated over the years to maintain the benefit. Here are a list of reasons why you should choose Radiesse:
How is the Radiesse procedure performed?
The Radiesse treatment process is a simple procedure that’s performed using a local anesthetic. Patients may experience minimal discomfort from the needle injection. Radiesse is a wrinkle filler used to plump up the skin. Radiesse is injected through a small needle and placed under the skin. Immediately after the procedure, this filler will add volume under the skin. Depending on the extent of the procedure, the treatment can take up to 15 minutes.
Is there any downtime with the Radiesse procedure?
Radiesse is a deeper injection, so it does have downtime which is basically on the same level as those of other fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane. Temporary redness, swelling and bruising can happen after a Radiesse injection. Usually, the bruising and swelling is mild and only last for the first few days after the treatment. It’s recommended to apply ice to the treated area to help the swelling go down more quickly. Additionally, a patient who has received Radiesse should minimize activities for the next 48 hours.
You should not use Radiesse if you have an allergy to lidocaine
What are the results of Radiesse?
The natural results have been shown to last a year or more in many patients, making the treatment results both immediate and long-lasting. Results from Radiesse are long-lasting but are not permanent. Patients may choose to undergo retreatments in order to maintain their rejuvenated appearance.
