Drink plenty of fluids, because we will be doing a blood draw.Dermaplaning is a cosmetic treatment in which your experienced skin care provider uses a blade called a dermatome to remove the outer layer of the skin in the treatment area. Dead skin cells, scar tissue, and other impurities are removed from the skin the same way hair is removed during shaving. Once the dermaplaning process is completed, an aloe-like substance is applied to your skin to help soothe and hydrate your skin. This painless procedure generally takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Though there is no downtime required for dermaplaning, many patients do experience redness, swelling, and soreness (such as a burning or tingling feeling) in the treatment area for up to 48 hours after their treatment.
