What is the appropriate age to start Botox? 

What if I told you in your 20’s?  

YES!! The number of young people who are doing Preventative Botox (using Botox to stop wrinkles before they start) is growing!   
It is typical to have lines/wrinkles on your face with movement or expression (dynamic lines) but what we are trying to prevent are those permanent lines/wrinkles ( static)  that stick around even when you are not making laughing or making an expression.  

Botox specifically prevents dynamic wrinkles, such as horizontal lines on the forehead, the vertical lines between the brows and the “crows feet” around the outer edge of the eyes.  By freezing these muscles with Botox, you can prevent their movement and put a stop to any wrinkles beginning to take shape.  

It is important to start treating wrinkles when they first appear.  Initially wrinkles will show up with expressions then disappear at rest.  This is the perfect time to tackle them!

The dosage amount depends on the individual, but the average for someone in their 20’s is about 30 units.

You will not see the effects of the Botox for 3 to 7 days with the maximum effect at 14 days. The effects last between 3-4 months on average.
